National Handloom Day, celebrated on 7th August every year, was initiated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in 2015. World Handloom Day is a great moment that's intended to pay tribute to the handloom weaving community, celebrating the efforts made to our nation's socio economic progress.

As part of the online training series on ‘ Cyber Safety and Security’, for the month July, 2024 CIET-NCERT is organising a five-hours online training on  “Digital Wellness” from 1 - 5 July, 2024 in English version and 8 - 12 July, 2024 in Hindi version from 4.00 pm - 5.00 pm, to enhance the understanding of teachers, students, teacher official educators, and various stakeholders.

GOVERNMENT PORTAL FOR 
EK BHARAT SANSKRITI SANGAM



“Ek Bharat Sanskriti Sangam” campaign has been launched to celebrate ‘Diversity’ and ‘Art’. The essence of this campaign is to encourage participants (Age 18 to 30 years) to recognise and embrace other cultures and thus in the process of doing it, instilling the spirit of “Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat”. This is a unique opportunity for participants to display their talent in art forms such as Dance, Singing, Photography and Painting, Sculpting/Sketching. The only condition is that participants would have to perform in art forms/languages of other States/UTs (other than their home state).


HOW TO PARTICIPATE

  1. Step 1: Choose a place from Bucket-1/Phase-1 places (except your Residence State/UT) .

  2. Step 2: Choose a Category for your performance. 

  3. Step 3: Your Performance/Art work should relate with the place you have selected. Record your performance and post it on any of your social media pages viz. Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, and Twitter.

  4. Step 4: Use Main Hashtags (#EkBharatShreshthaBharat and #EkBharatSanskritiSangam) and Category Specific Hashtags for your post.

  5. Step 5: Register yourself on Ek Bharat Sanskriti Sangam Campaign Page (Here). On registration, User-ID and Password will be sent to your E-mail ID.

  6. Step 6: Login to Ek Bharat Sanskriti Sangam Page (Here) and submit the link of your Instagram/Facebook/YouTube/Twitter Post only.

  7. Step 7: Get as many likes on your social media post. Your post will also be displayed on “Performance Gallery” (Here). Get people to vote for you on Performance Gallery.

  8. Step 8: At the end of Phase, upload a screenshot of your social media post (showing the number of likes received), in the “Like Scorecard” tab of your login page. Please also mention the number of likes received. Deadline for uploading Phase-1 Screenshot is 15.00 hrs. (i.e., 3 PM), 21st August.

  • “Ek Bharat Sanskriti Sangam” is a 3-month campaign divided into 3 phases commencing on 29th July, 2023 and concluding on Ekta Diwas i.e., 31st October, 2023.
  • Campaign is open to Indian citizens. Participants must be between the age group of 18 to 30 years.

  • Participation is invited in following categories:
    • Dancing (Traditional, Regional, Classical, Folk etc. of the selected State/UT)
    • Singing (Traditional, Classical, Regional, Folk etc. of the selected State/UT)
    • Painting/Sketching/Sculpting (Monuments, Culture, Festivals, Places, Traditional art forms etc. of the selected State/UT). Please note that digital painting is not permitted.
    • Photography (Monuments, Culture, Festivals, Places etc. of selected State/UT).

YUVA TOURISM CLUB


Following the directions of Hon’ble Prime Minister of India, Ministry of Tourism intends to celebrate this year at India@75 by launching the campaign focusing on “YUVA Tourism Club” with the strategic objective of creating interest, awareness and a sense of responsibility towards our country’s natural and cultural heritage / tourism amongst children and youth.

The vision is to nurture and develop young ambassadors of Indian tourism who would become aware of tourism possibilities in India, appreciate our rich cultural heritage and develop an interest and passion for tourism. These young ambassadors would be catalysts for promoting tourism in India. Participation in Tourism Clubs is also expected to facilitate development of soft skills like teamwork, management, leadership besides encouraging adoption of responsible tourism practices and concern for sustainable tourism.

    National Online Essay Writing Competition


    The office of the Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) of India is organising the second National Online Essay Writing Competition as part of Audit Diwas celebrations on the topic “Celebrating the resilience of the Indian Democracy and the role of the CAG of India”.

    The essay competition aims to make the youth of the country aware of the institution of CAG of India and appreciate the contribution of the CAG in promoting public accountability and good governance. The competition will also give an opportunity for young minds to harness their creativity and express ways in which the institution of the CAG can contribute to good governance.

    Gratifications:
    The essays will be evaluated separately in English and Hindi. Winners of the competition will be awarded cash prizes as follows:
    • First prize: ₹30,000
    • Second prize: ₹20,000
    • Third prize: ₹15,000

    Please Note: There are no charges/registration for participation in the competition.

    Eligibility:
    1. The online essay writing competition is open to all persons who are currently enrolled in a course of study at any institution recognized by any University in India.
    2. The participant should not be more than 25 years old as on 20 July 2023.
    3. Employees of the Indian Audit and Accounts Department shall not be eligible for participating in the competition.
    4. Only one entry from each participant will be considered. In case it is discovered that a participant has submitted more than one entry, all the entries from the participant will be disqualified.

    Mode of Submission:
    • The length of the essay should not exceed 1500 words.
    • The Essay may be written either in English or Hindi.
    • The participants would be required to submit six documents online as attachments in a single e-mail to the address: essay2023@cag.gov.in. The details of these documents are given in paras 5.4.1.1 to 5.4.1.5. The subject of the e-mail should be written as “CAG’s National Online Essay Writing Competition”.
    • Participants should send the essays in MS word docx - Calibri (English)/Mangal (Hindi) and pdf format. The names of both the .docx and .pdf file should be the e-mail id (excluding the domain name) of the participant followed by language (English/Hindi)1 in which the essay has been written. Essays sent by post will not be considered. Mention of the participant’s name/email or other personal details anywhere in the body of the essay will lead to disqualification.

    Timeline:
    Essays may be e-mailed on any date from 10:00 hrs on 21 July 2023 to 17:00 hrs on 20 August 2023. Entries received beyond this period will not be considered.
