International Women’s Day (IWD) is celebrated every year on 8th March. The Ministry of Women & Child Development celebrates this day to acknowledge the achievements of women for the nation and recognize their contributions to the society by conferring ‘Nari Shakti Puraskars’ to individuals in recognition of their service towards the cause of women empowerment, especially vulnerable and marginalized women. In the run up to Nari Shakti Puraskar 2022 (to presented in March, 2023), Nari Shakti Quiz is also being organized by the Ministry of Women & Child Development for citizen’s engagement in raising awareness about the social, economic, political and cultural achievements of women and to promote IWD.
अंतर्राष्ट्रीय महिला दिवस (IWD) हर साल 8 मार्च को मनाया जाता है। महिला एवं बाल विकास मंत्रालय इस दिन को राष्ट्र के लिए महिलाओं की उपलब्धियों को स्वीकार करने और महिला सशक्तिकरण, विशेष रूप से कमजोर और हाशिए पर महिलाओं के लिए उनकी सेवा के लिए व्यक्तियों को ‘नारी शक्ति पुरस्कार’ प्रदान करके समाज में उनके योगदान को मान्यता देने के लिए मनाता है।
नारी शक्ति पुरस्कार 2022 (मार्च, 2023 में प्रस्तुत किया जाना है) के क्रम में, महिलाओं की सामाजिक, आर्थिक, राजनीतिक और सांस्कृतिक उपलब्धियों के बारे में जागरूकता बढ़ाने और आईडब्ल्यूडी को बढ़ावा देने के लिए नागरिकों की भागीदारी के लिए महिला एवं बाल विकास मंत्रालय द्वारा नारी शक्ति क्विज का भी आयोजन किया जा रहा है।
