BEAT THE PLASTIC POLLUTION

The Tide Turners Plastic Challenge (TTPC) is the world’s largest youth-led movement, committing to take action to reduce plastic waste, in their lives and communities at large. UNEP in partnership with CEE (Centre for Environment Education India) and WWF- India has adapted and rolled out the challenge in India since 2019.

The challenge engages youth in cutting back on the use of single-use plastic, ensuring effective recycling of plastic and finding sustainable alternatives to plastics.

Who can participate?

 The challenge is open for group and individual participation. Group participation is for: g Schools (Eco clubs, NCC, Scouts and Guides) , Colleges (Youth clubs, NCC, Scouts and Guides)  Corporates and offices , Informal groups like rural youth, differently abled, marginalized and indigenous groups.

G20 ESSAY COMPETITION

 

As part of these remarkable initiatives, MyGov in collaboration with the Ministry of External Affairs is hosting an Essay competition, centered around the topic: 

‘My Vision for India's G20 Presidency’

It aims to engage the ingenious thoughts and insightful perspectives of the Indian youth, strategically igniting a flame of awareness regarding India's prominent role in steering the G20 towards a brighter future.

Swayam Plus (an initiative by the Ministry of Education, Govt. of India) in collaboration with Intel India has launched a unique, nation-wide, AI skilling opportunity for all educators - the *AI for Educators* Campaign 

All educators irrespective of the subject they teach are welcome to register and attend a series of 10 AI skilling sessions conducted by certified AI coaches. 

The first session is scheduled on August 18 from 4 to 5 pm.
