YUVA TOURISM CLUB


Following the directions of Hon’ble Prime Minister of India, Ministry of Tourism intends to celebrate this year at India@75 by launching the campaign focusing on “YUVA Tourism Club” with the strategic objective of creating interest, awareness and a sense of responsibility towards our country’s natural and cultural heritage / tourism amongst children and youth.

The vision is to nurture and develop young ambassadors of Indian tourism who would become aware of tourism possibilities in India, appreciate our rich cultural heritage and develop an interest and passion for tourism. These young ambassadors would be catalysts for promoting tourism in India. Participation in Tourism Clubs is also expected to facilitate development of soft skills like teamwork, management, leadership besides encouraging adoption of responsible tourism practices and concern for sustainable tourism.

Classroom challenge

  • Use the e-question paper you will be sent to conduct a classroom quiz within your school for registered students from 6th-9th grade.
  • Select the top 30 students as per the evaluation criteria provided by WWF-India.

  • This round will be conducted digitally on itza.io
  • Share your school code with the top 30 students to begin the school challenge
  • Encourage these students to explore the various learning journeys and challenge content to climb up the leaderboard (Note: all 30 students should contribute equally and earn points for the school to achieve a position on the leaderboard)

    National Online Essay Writing Competition


    The office of the Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) of India is organising the second National Online Essay Writing Competition as part of Audit Diwas celebrations on the topic “Celebrating the resilience of the Indian Democracy and the role of the CAG of India”.

    The essay competition aims to make the youth of the country aware of the institution of CAG of India and appreciate the contribution of the CAG in promoting public accountability and good governance. The competition will also give an opportunity for young minds to harness their creativity and express ways in which the institution of the CAG can contribute to good governance.

    Gratifications:
    The essays will be evaluated separately in English and Hindi. Winners of the competition will be awarded cash prizes as follows:
    • First prize: ₹30,000
    • Second prize: ₹20,000
    • Third prize: ₹15,000

    Please Note: There are no charges/registration for participation in the competition.

    Eligibility:
    1. The online essay writing competition is open to all persons who are currently enrolled in a course of study at any institution recognized by any University in India.
    2. The participant should not be more than 25 years old as on 20 July 2023.
    3. Employees of the Indian Audit and Accounts Department shall not be eligible for participating in the competition.
    4. Only one entry from each participant will be considered. In case it is discovered that a participant has submitted more than one entry, all the entries from the participant will be disqualified.

    Mode of Submission:
    • The length of the essay should not exceed 1500 words.
    • The Essay may be written either in English or Hindi.
    • The participants would be required to submit six documents online as attachments in a single e-mail to the address: essay2023@cag.gov.in. The details of these documents are given in paras 5.4.1.1 to 5.4.1.5. The subject of the e-mail should be written as “CAG’s National Online Essay Writing Competition”.
    • Participants should send the essays in MS word docx - Calibri (English)/Mangal (Hindi) and pdf format. The names of both the .docx and .pdf file should be the e-mail id (excluding the domain name) of the participant followed by language (English/Hindi)1 in which the essay has been written. Essays sent by post will not be considered. Mention of the participant’s name/email or other personal details anywhere in the body of the essay will lead to disqualification.

    Timeline:
    Essays may be e-mailed on any date from 10:00 hrs on 21 July 2023 to 17:00 hrs on 20 August 2023. Entries received beyond this period will not be considered.

    Donate Organs Save Lives - Poster Design Contest





    Angdaan Mahotsav campaign kick started on 1st July 2023 in line with the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav to raise awareness on organ donation across the country. As part of the campaign, 3rd August 2023 will be celebrated as Indian Organ Donation Day to commemorate the first successful deceased donor organ transplant, which was also the first Heart transplant, after the promulgation of "The Transplantation of Human Organ Act" on 8th July, 1994. The month of July 2023 is being celebrated as Organ Donation Month during which various awareness activities will be organised.

    Taking the campaign, a step further, the National Organ and Tissue Transplant Organisation under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare in collaboration with the MyGov platform is organising Poster Making Competition on organ donation.

    Participants can submit their creations in PDF format.

    The selected top entries will be awarded Cash Prizes and certificates.

    Cash Rewards for Slogan Writing Competition will be as below:
    - First- ₹5,000/-
    - Second- ₹3,000/-
    - Third- ₹2,000/-

    Consolation Prize to other 10 participants- ₹1,000/-
