Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, fondly known as the ‘Iron Man of India,’ played a monumental role in unifying the princely states into the Indian Union, ensuring the country's political cohesion and integrity. His unwavering dedication to national unity and his leadership in integrating the states left an indelible mark on India’s history.

National Unity Day is celebrated on 31st October every year and it is a tribute to his unmatched leadership in fostering unity, strength, and harmony across the diverse fabric of India. This day encourages all citizens to reflect on the importance of national unity and contribute towards building a stronger and more cohesive India.

To honor his exceptional contributions and ideals, a nationwide quiz, “National Unity Day Quiz,” is being hosted on the MyGov platform. This quiz aims to inspire the youth and citizens of India by showcasing Sardar Patel’s values, ethics, and vision for a united India. It also highlights the Government of India’s efforts towards national integration and development.

The quiz is available in 12 regional languages, including English and Hindi, making it accessible to a wide audience.
