  3. carbon and its Compounds is one of the most important chapters in Class 10 Science because it explains the chemical basis of life and many everyday materials. This chapter introduces the unique properties of carbon, such as catenation and covalent bonding, which allow it to form a large variety of compounds. carbon and its Compounds covers essential topics like hydrocarbons, functional groups, alcohols, acids, and soaps. Students also learn about ethanol, ethanoic acid, and the cleansing action of soaps.
