To celebrate nine years of Swachh Bharat Mission and two years of SBM-U 2.0, the ‘Swachhata Hi Seva’ fortnight will commence from 15th September – 2nd October. The fortnight will begin with the second edition of Indian Swachhata League on 17th September 2023, Seva Divas.

As part of ISL 2.0, more than 4,000+ city teams will rally for garbage free beaches, hills, and tourist places as part of the nation’s largest youth-led cleanliness campaign.

Once ISL 2.0 is completed, every city team will submit an official entry regarding their activities, along with photos and videos. City teams will be evaluated based on the following criteria:

Scale of youth engagement through volunteer registration on MyGov
Innovativeness of the activities
Impact of the activities

After evaluation, the best city teams across the country will be declared as ISL Champions. Team Captains and other representatives of the winning teams will be invited to a national event in October 2023.

Registration Start date: 13th Sept 2023.

PRAYAAS ( NCERT )

Department of Education in Science and Mathematics, NCERT has launched a new scheme - PRAY AAS - Promotion of Research Attitude in Young And Aspiring Students. PRAYAAS Scheme is aimed at school students studying in Class IX to XI to understand science concepts and apply them for solving problems of the society.

This Scheme provides holistic development to a student as the student will learn to apply science process and integrate it with Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics {STEAM Education). The student/s participating in the PRAYAAAS 2023-24 Scheme will be guided by a mentor from the school and an expert from Higher Educational Institute.

The NCERT will also support the student, teacher and expert by way of providing Catalytic Grant to the tune of Rs. 50,000/- for the project undertaken.

Participate in one of India’s most prestigious student competitions on sustainability – the CII - IGBC Green Your School Programme® 2025. This annual initiative, supported by Carrier India, which engages 2,000 to 3,000 students from across the country, inspiring young minds to take active roles in building a greener India.
