The “Har Ghar Tiranga” campaign encourages every Indian to bring the Tiranga home and proudly hoist it in celebration of our nation’s independence. The Indian National Flag is not just a symbol but a profound representation of our collective pride and unity.
Historically, our relationship with the flag has often been formal and distant, but this campaign seeks to transform it into a deeply personal and heartfelt connection. By bringing the flag into our homes, we are not just marking Independence Day, we are embracing a tangible expression of our commitment to nation-building.
The “Har Ghar Tiranga” initiative strives to ignite a deep sense of patriotism within every citizen and foster a greater understanding of the significance of our national flag.
In this spirit, Ministry of Culture in collaboration with MyGov is organizing the “Har Ghar Tiranga Quiz 2024” to spread awareness about the revered National Flag of India, our beloved Tiranga.

HAR GHAR TIRANGA
Har Ghar Tiranga’ is a campaign that started under the aegis of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav to encourage people to bring the Tiranga home and to hoist it to mark India’s independence. It stemmed from the thought that our relationship with the national flag has always been more formal and institutional than personal. Bringing the flag home collectively as a nation thus became symbolic of not only an act of personal connection to the Tiranga but also an embodiment of our collective commitment to nation-building. The idea behind the initiative was to invoke the feeling of patriotism in the hearts of the people and to promote awareness about the Indian National Flag.The Ministry of Culture is the nodal ministry for Har Ghar Tiranga.

Quiz on Eat Right Quest
About Quiz
Food safety and nutrition play a critical role in maintaining the well-being of citizens. To raise awareness about safe and healthy diets, the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) in collaboration with MyGov has launched a quiz competition titled “Eat Right Quest“. This competition aims to engage and educate the public on the importance of making informed food choices and promoting a culture of health and safety in dietary habits.
खाद्य सुरक्षा और पोषण नागरिकों को स्वस्थ रखने में महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका निभाते हैं। सुरक्षित और स्वस्थ आहार के बारे में जागरूकता बढ़ाने के लिए स्वास्थ्य और परिवार कल्याण मंत्रालय, भारतीय खाद्य सुरक्षा और मानक प्राधिकरण (एफ. एस. एस. ए. आई.) ने MyGov के सहयोग से “ईट राइट क्वेस्ट” नामक एक क्विज प्रतियोगिता शुरू की है। इस प्रतियोगिता का उद्देश्य जनता को सूचित भोजन विकल्प चुनने, आहार संबंधी आदतों में स्वास्थ्य और सुरक्षा की संस्कृति को बढ़ावा देने के महत्व पर जागरुक एवं शिक्षित करना है।

C.B.S.E READING CHALLENGE
CBSE organises Reading Challenge as an initiative to inculcate a lifelong love of reading in students
and enhancement of essential skills for their academic and personal development.
Students from
classes 6 to 10 of schools affiliated to CBSE may participate in this activity.
CBSE Reading challenge aims to nurture the following critical abilities:
Reading with comprehension and accuracy;
Constructing meaning by retrieving information and relating text to previous knowledge;
Reflect and evaluate the text and;
Interpreting information and drawing logical conclusions.
Timeline: August – September, 2024
There will be two rounds of this activity.
First Round:
1. All schools may register for this stage.
2. This is to be conducted offline at the school level.
Second Round:
1. Participating schools may nominate and register 10 students, two students from each class
{(classes 6, 7, 8, 9, 10) one each for both English and Hindi categories}.
2. This round will be conducted through CBSE Reading Challenge online portal.
Languages – The challenge will be conducted in both Hindi and English.
Students may participate in
either one or both languages.
Categories for participation:
• Category- I (Class 6-7)
• Category- II (Class 8-10)
Rewards – All participants of Round-II will be issued an online participation certificate by the Board.
Outstanding performers will be awarded appreciation certificates.

the portal to the registered schools to download.

• The schools shall download papers and conduct the
challenge offline.
• Schools to identify ten top-performing students:
2 each from Classes VI, VII, VIII, IX and X
For both Hindi and English challenges.
• If more than ten students perform equally well, schools may
conduct an additional screening test to select the top ten.
02.09.2024 to 17.09.2024
Schools shall register the selected students for Round two via
the link on the CBSE website.
B. Round Two/Second Stage
24.09.2024 to 27.09.2024
• CBSE will conduct a computer- based Reading challenge
for registered students.
• Only schools that completed Round One and registered
students for Round Two are eligible to participate.
Important Note: Detailed instructions for conducting these activities will be provided only to schools
that register students for Round Two of the challenge.

Shiksha Saptah: A Celebration of Educational Excellence
Sports Day: Day 3 - 24th July 2024
As part of this celebration, Day 3 has been dedicated to the sports activities. NEP 2020 envisages sports as a part of the School Curriculum and sports-integrated learning as well as adopting fitness as a lifelong attitude.
Objectives:
Sports Day aims to emphasize the significance of Sports and fitness right from the foundational stage of students. The day will serve as a platform to:
o Raise awareness about the importance of Sports and fitness.
o Promotion of indigenous games parallel to the contemporary sports.
o To inculcate a sense of team spirit and discipline in young minds.
o To foster a feeling of National integration.
o To make sports an integral part of the daily routine of the students.
o To promote sports at national and international level.
o To develop a positive attitude of pride, sportsmanship, and ethical behavior in the students.
o To make the students physically, mentally, psychologically, socially, and emotionally fit.
o To encourage team spirit among students by bringing individuals from a variety of social and economic backgrounds together in a shared platform.
o To inculcate social and moral values among the students through games/sports.
It is therefore planned that the 3rd day of shiksha saptah will be devoted to indigenous games in every school of the country.
Suggested activities for the Sports Day Under Shiksha Saptah:
1. Sports Day Event:
Organising activities of lndigenous games out of the list of 75 lndigenous games provided.
lt would be preferable to include local indigenous games to familiarize students with local culture.
2. Display of lndigenous Games:
Lot of indigenous games have a strong bond with the ancient era civilisation. Displaying/Exhibiting the history and importance of the ancient lndian games which are still important for holistic development, should be organised.
PET teacher may explain about the indigenous games and its importance to the students' teachers and parents.
3. Sport Competitions:
Competition of different outdoor games may be organised wherever Possible.
These should be organised in a festive environment to maximise participation.
The safety of the students participating should be well taken care of.
4. Community Engagement:
Local influencers, real life role models, eminent personalities in sports may be invited for the inspiration.
SMC and School Sport Committee should be involved in organising the games, elaborating the importance of playing the lndigenous games in students'life.
Parents and other community including Civil Society Organisations working in this field may be involved.
5. Inclusion:
Sports events must also include children with special needs.

Quiz on Military Might of India

The Ministry of Defence, in collaboration with MyGov, proudly announces an exhilarating online quiz series as part of the Independence Day Celebrations 2024. This initiative aims to ignite patriotic feelings among the youth and masses through a deep dive into four compelling themes:
1. Atmanirbhar Bharat in Defence Production
2. Indian Freedom Struggle
3. Military Might of India
4. National Symbols and Traditions
Salient features:
1. Each of the quiz will be in bilingual format i.e. in Hindi and English.
2. Duration of each of the quiz will be 5 minutes (300 seconds), during which a maximum of 20 questions can be answered.
3. Winners of the contest will be announced on the basis of combined performance in all the above quizzes. However, participants will be allowed in all the above quizzes without round-wise elimination.
4. There will be ten cash prizes for the winners of the contest selected on the basis of combined performance in all the above quizzes as under /
(a) 1st Prize – Rs.25,000/-
(b) 2nd Prize – Rs.15,000/-
(c) 3rd Prize – Rs.10,000/-
(d) Consolation Prizes (Seven) – Rs. 5,000/- each
5. Top 250 participants would be issued invitation cards by Ministry of Defence to witness Independence Day Celebration to be held on 15th August, 2024 at Red Fort, Delhi.
6. All participants to the Quiz will get an online generated certificate of participation by MyGov.in.
रक्षा मंत्रालय, MyGov के सहयोग से, स्वतंत्रता दिवस समारोह 2024 के हिस्से के रूप में रोमांचक ऑनलाइन क्विज़ सीरीज आयोजित करने जा रहा है। इस पहल का उद्देश्य चार विषयों पर गहराई से विचार करके युवाओं और जनता के बीच देशभक्ति की भावनाओं को प्रज्वलित करना है:
1. रक्षा उत्पादन क्षेत्र में आत्मनिर्भर भारत
2. भारतीय स्वतंत्रता संग्राम
3. भारत की सैन्य शक्ति
4. राष्ट्रीय प्रतीक और परंपराएँ
मुख्य विशेषताएं:
1. प्रत्येक क्विज़ द्विभाषी प्रारूप में होगी अर्थात हिंदी और अंग्रेजी में।
2. प्रत्येक क्विज़ की अवधि 5 मिनट (300 सेकंड) होगी, जिसके दौरान अधिकतम 20 प्रश्नों का उत्तर दिया जा सकता है।
3. प्रतियोगिता के विजेताओं की घोषणा उपरोक्त सभी क्विज़ में संयुक्त प्रदर्शन के आधार पर की जाएगी। हालाँकि, प्रतिभागियों को उपरोक्त सभी क्विज़ में राउंड-वार एलिमिनेशन के बिना अनुमति दी जाएगी।
4. उपरोक्त सभी क्विज़ में संयुक्त प्रदर्शन के आधार पर चुने गए प्रतियोगिता के विजेताओं के लिए दस नकद पुरस्कार होंगे: –
(a) प्रथम पुरस्कार 25,000/- रु.
(b) दूसरा पुरस्कार 15,000/- रु.
(c) तीसरा पुरस्कार 10,000/- रु.
(d) सांत्वना पुरस्कार (सात) प्रत्येक 5,000/- रु
5. शीर्ष 250 प्रतिभागियों को 15 अगस्त, 2024 को लाल किले, दिल्ली में आयोजित होने वाले स्वतंत्रता दिवस समारोह को देखने के लिए रक्षा मंत्रालय द्वारा निमंत्रण कार्ड जारी किए जाएंगे।
6. क्विज़ में भाग लेने वाले सभी प्रतिभागियों को MyGov.in द्वारा भागीदारी का एक ऑनलाइन जेनरेट किया गया प्रमाण पत्र मिलेगा। ।
