During #SwachhataHiSeva, students from Classes 6th to 12th are encouraged to participate in the Solid Waste Management Quiz on #EcoClubsforMissionLiFE Portal. 

The quiz enables school students to test their knowledge, learn about responsible waste management and discover simple ways to contribute to a cleaner and greener environment.

CSIR SciQuiz

The Council of Scientific and Industrial Research, Ministry of Science and Technology, in collaboration with the Department of Youth Affairs, Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports has launched the CSIR Science & Innovation Quiz (CSIR SciQuiz) on the MY Bharat (Mera Yuva Bharat) Portal, as part of the activities marking CSIR’s 85th Foundation Day celebrations.

The quiz is being conducted from 20–26 September 2026 and is open to all Indian citizens. 

The quiz comprises multiple-choice questions and features questions based on CSIR’s scientific achievements, technologies, innovations, institutions and contributions to society and the nation.

To celebrate 12 years of India’s development journey and the vision of Viksit Bharat, MyGov invites citizens across the country to participate in the Viksit Bharat Quiz 2026.

• The Top best performer of the Quiz will be awarded with a cash prize of ₹51,000/-. / क्विज़ के शीर्ष सबसे अच्छे प्रदर्शन करने वाले को ₹51,000/- के नकद पुरस्कार से सम्मानित किया जाएगा।
• The second-best performer will be awarded with a cash prize of ₹31,000/-. / दूसरे सबसे अच्छे प्रदर्शन करने वाले को ₹31,000/- के नकद पुरस्कार से सम्मानित किया जाएगा।
• The third-best performer will be awarded with a cash prize of ₹21,000/-. / तीसरे सबसे अच्छे प्रदर्शन करने वाले को ₹21,000/- के नकद पुरस्कार से सम्मानित किया जाएगा।

IGBC GREEN YOUR SCHOOL PROGRAMME - 2026

We are delighted to announce the launch of the 20^th Edition of the CII - IGBC Green Your School Programme® 2026. As we celebrate two decades of inspiring and empowering young changemakers, we warmly invite your school to be a part of this landmark edition. Supported by Carrier India, this flagship annual initiative engages 2,000–3,000 students from schools across the country.

 

The theme for this year is: “Think Green with 3W – Water, Waste & Well-Being”

 

This year’s theme aims to help students understand the importance of water conservation, responsible waste management, and overall well-being. It encourages the adoption of sustainable practices that positively impact both people and the planet. Please find the programme brochure and participation guidelines attached for your reference.

 

We request your school to nominate three students from Grades 7 to 9, along with one mentor teacher, to participate in the programme. The nominated students will prepare a presentation with ideas on how to convert their school into a Green School, focusing on the following key areas:

 

• Water conservation
• Waste reduction & management
• Well-being enhancement including physical, mental, and social aspects

 

Important Dates:

• Last Date for Registration                 : 15 September 2026
• Last Date for Project Submission : 15 October 2026

 

Awards & Recognition:

• Top 5 winning schools will receive grant towards implementation of green ideas, along with a trophy & certificates as following:
• 1st Prize                        : ₹3.00 Lakhs
• 2nd Prize                       : ₹2.75 Lakhs
• 3rd Prize                        : ₹2.5 Lakhs
• 4th and 5th prize       : ₹2.25 Lakhs
• In addition, next 3 best performing schools would receive ₹2.00 Lakhs grant towards implementation of green ideas.
• All participating students and mentors would receive ‘Certificate of Participation’.
